Kids Go Wild is an out door week long day camp that offers hands on Art, Science & Storytelling to campers of all ages. Centers are set up for the week and offer each camper the freedom to experiment in the art of storytelling, the science of art and the beauty and color of science. We offer workshops on:
Weaving: Learn to weave on a portable loom, a cardboard box & Viking Weaving (stick weaving)
Fabric and Yarn dying: Low Immersion dying in a crock pot, Color Wheel dying in mason jars, Dying yarns to load onto your looms and more.
Felt with sheep roving and alpaca hair: Create images on fabric as well as wearable creations, Learn how to wet and needle felt.
Block Printing: Using wood block printing to create cards, placemats, napkins. Understanding the difference between inks, dyes and paints.
Creating personal blocks for printing: Learn to carve images to print.
Screen printing: Learn to make an inexpensive screen and them how to print with your screen.
