Students build a solar-powered car that will travel under bright sunlight or anywhere with the rechargeable battery pack. The Solar Car Kit Deluxe contains everything for a complete self-sustainable solar powered racer that can be used indoors or out and includes a solar panel, rechargeable battery and battery pack, a DC motor, multiple gears, axles, wheels, chassis, a blocking diode, wiring, on-off switch and a complete instruction guide.

Solar Car Race will be held on Saturday July 6th at High Noon at the Fairfield Plantation Country Club during the July 4th Weekend celebration. Hands-on building sessions with Tony Nickoloff supervising the construction will be held a few weeks prior to the event. Team T-shirts will be supplied to the first 25 entries (one per team). All ages welcome with a gold, silver and bronze medal ceremony being held immediately after the race.
