G3 Robotics - Drone for Good
Do you want to engage your students in a meaningful STEM challenge beyond the typical classroom experience? Excite your students and keep them in the STEM-pipeline through middle school, high school, and beyond? G3 Robotics, Grady High School’s award-winning, student-led robotics team, in partnership with the Motorola Solutions Foundation, is excited to announce G3 Drones for Good (DFG): an exciting STEM competition involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in which middle school students work with their mentors and teachers to develop an innovative UAV-based solution to a problem in their community, state, or the world. These students will develop research, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills while designing, building, and flying their own UAVs. G3 Robotics is excited to offer this opportunity this fall, when they will begin by training middle school teachers to be DFG team coaches. The G3 Drones for Good season will kick-off for students in January and culminate with a competition day in April. At the Maker Faire, participants will have the chance to build thier own custom UAV and take it for a test flight!
