The Friends School of Atlanta offers a STEAM based approach to learning (Science, Technology, Education, Arts and Math). We encourage critical thinking and problem solving activities in a fun and collaborative environment. In our Innovation Lab students are presented with humanitarian, environmental or other global challenges designed to improve critical thinking and communication skills, research and engagement. Class activities are structured using the three dimensions of the Next Generation Science Standards: investigating “real” world challenges across a variety of disciplines and concepts, encouraging hands on engagement, experimentation and exploration.
