MAKERS

The 2016 Call for Makers is Now Open! Please click on the button below to go to the Initial Application.

Tips:

As you prepare to apply for the Call for Makers, please consider the following:

  • Read EVERYTHING! We know it can be tempting to skip a line or two to get right into the application, BUT all the information is extremely important to know, so please, read everything!
  • Be as descriptive as possible about your project.
  • SPELLCHECK! Especially your e-mail address; e-mail will be our primary source of communication. If your e-mail is spelled incorrectly, or has an extra space, you could miss your opportunity to show off at the Faire!
  • Prepare good photos, or video content, you can provide with your application.
  • Think about who your Booth Assistants will be.
  • Ask questions; if you are unsure about something, contact us at [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.

Once you have been approved and complete the Maker Exhibit Details form we send you,, you will need to pay either:
-A $50 deposit that is refundable as long as you show up for the Faire (for Non-Commercial makers)
or
-A $100 non-refundable fee (for Commercial Makers).

Non-Commercial Maker: Individuals, groups, schools and organizations that would like to demonstrate what they make and/or how it works in an all-weekend exhibit space; interactive exhibits are encouraged. Young Makers (ages 18 and below) will need an adult parent/guardian present. Parents/guardians must be listed as a Booth Assistant. Makers who are “hobbyists” (meaning their projects are not a full-time job, a business or a main source of income) are considered Non-Commercial. If your project is a full-time job, a business, or your main source of income, you will need to be considered as a Commercial Maker.

Commercial Maker: Individuals, businesses or other organizations (such as non-profits, cause or mission based organizations, colleges and universities) who would like to sell or market products along with demonstrating what they make at their maker exhibit.

Payment details will be emailed to you upon application acceptance and is required to be placed in the layout. All Makers are required to bring and set up a weighted tent for their space. We will provide 1- 6 foot table and 2 chairs for each 10×10 space. You may also rent a tend (including set up) through our provider for an additional $200 for the weekend.

Sponsorship opportunities are available if you are interested in promoting or marketing your business or organization. Startups and smaller non-profits may qualify for discounted sponsorships. Please visit our sponsors page for more information.

Acceptance indicates we have accepted the concept of your exhibit; however, it does not guarantee that we can accommodate all requests. We will contact you if this is the case.
