Concrete Jungle is a volunteer-run organization that picks fruit from all over the Atlanta area and donates it to local homeless shelters and food banks. To date we have donated over 15,000 lbs of fruit and vegetables from neglected trees and land around the city.
We try to build as many tools as possible to aid in fruit picking and simply to make it more fun. Our exhibit features two of such tools: our bike blender that we use to make refreshing beverages during work days at our farm, and our pedal powered apple grinder, used to make apple cider at our end-of-season Ciderfest.
Interested? Come help us build drones, fruit-tree sensors, tree-shaking machines, giant stilts, inflatable tarps and more! Even if you’re not a maker yourself, we always need help throughout the season with picking, farming, outreach and logistics.

Pork Clouds, an artisan pork rind start-up, hit shelves in Atlanta this July. Pork Clouds taste so novel that they fundamentally shift perception of the category wherever they go. But a one-person company can only go so far, so the owner and former engineer turned porkpreneur has “delegated” by building a robot which samples and discusses Pork Clouds on his behalf. The PorkBot is a robotic projection device which uses wireless controls and AV projection to essentially become a pork rind sampling land drone.

Golda Kombucha is Georgia’s first and only supplier of oak-aged Kombucha Tea. For over 2,000 years, Kombucha tea has been regarded as the “Elixir of Life” , now you can enjoy this fermented health beverage locally in Atlanta, Georgia. Named after owner, Melanie Wade’s grandmother who taught her the art brewing the tea, Golda Kombucha is hand crafted in small batches using the continuous brewing method in American white oak barrels. The oak barrels allows for the saturation of more beneficial elements like probiotics in the tea, and gives it a light and refreshing flavor. In addition to selling their delicious teas, they will be demonstrating the fermentation process that takes you from sweet tea to fermented kombucha.
